Enough: One Man's Search for Adequacy

Enough is the first book I have written in collaboration with someone else. In my view, Lynn Gibson is the author, and I am the writer. The message is his. The wording, apart from the Afterword, is mine. But creating this book was a joint labor of love from beginning to end.

We designed it together, first considering a straightforward nonfiction work to present and explore the analogy of God’s love for us to a father’s love for his child. In the end, we agreed to flesh it out in the form of a short novel.

We committed to meet at least weekly for a number of months to hammer out the arc of the story and then to review and revise each chapter as I drafted them. We prayed at each step of the journey that God would guide the project. And, yes, at each milestone along the way we celebrated with a special cigar.

I came to appreciate my friendship with Lynn more deeply, and I found that expressing in this tale his discovery of grace rekindled my own. Our hope is that it may do the same for each reader, including you.
